Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

Owners and operators of Short SD3‑30 aeroplanes (S/N SH3002–SH3068) must, before 1 April 1982, have the engine power lever cam mechanism modified per Shorts Service Bulletin SD3‑76‑01 so the aircraft cannot commence take‑off while flight control locks are engaged.

Costs are borne by the operators and qualified maintenance organisations must perform the work; the modification restores regulatory compliance and prevents an unsafe take‑off configuration.
