Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This directive requires holders of the approved maintenance system for all Shorts SD3‑30 aeroplanes to immediately incorporate the inspections and life‑limits from the Shorts SD3‑30 Maintenance Programme (Revision 17, 23 Nov 1987) into their approved maintenance programmes.

It matters because those airworthiness limitations were previously overlooked, so operators must promptly amend documentation, schedule and perform the listed inspections, and manage life‑limited parts using the separate Chapter 5 Maintenance Programme.
