This AD requires operators of Short SD3‑30 aircraft to modify/insulate electrical power‑line contactor bodies exactly per two Shorts service bulletins, to address in‑service insulation failures. Work must be done within the Directive’s specified timeframes (300 flight hours after 31 Mar 1984 for the first bulletin; before 30 Apr 1987 for the amendment). Operators bear costs, must schedule certified maintenance, and consult the service bulletins for technical steps.
