AD/SC7/9 - Front (Pilot) Seats Restraint Installations - Modification - CANCELLED

What this document does: This officially cancels an old aviation safety rule about pilot seatbelts for a specific aircraft type.

The history: Since 1972, owners of Short SC7 Skyvan aircraft had to install upper torso restraints (shoulder harnesses/seatbelts) for the front pilot seats—but only for planes certified before 1967.

What's changed: As of 17 January 2008, this specific rule no longer applies. It has been replaced by a newer, broader safety directive (AD/GENERAL/74 Amendment 1) that covers multiple aircraft types under one rule.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Short SC7 Skyvan aircraft. They no longer need to follow this specific directive, but must comply with the replacement general directive instead.
