Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires all SC7 series aircraft to have the flight-control trim chain connecting link inspected in line with Shorts Mandatory Service Bulletin 27-76 because a report found a trim cable/chain assembled with a non-Class 1 ‘spring clip’ link. The AD is effective 10 August 2000.

CASA (by delegate under subregulation 39.1(1) CAR 1998) mandates the inspection; aircraft owners/operators pay to comply and must follow the service bulletin’s instructions and timing, which provide the technical inspection detail.
