Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this is: This is an Airworthiness Directive (AD) — a mandatory safety order issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) under Commonwealth aviation law.

What it requires: Owners and operators of British Aerospace (Scottish Aviation) Twin Pioneer aircraft must immediately follow a specific technical modification (Scottish Aviation Modification No. C334) regarding the steel fittings in the aircraft's lift struts (the structural components that help support the wings).

Why it matters: This directive addresses potential safety defects in critical structural fittings. Failure to comply could lead to structural failure of the lift strut assembly during flight.

Who is affected: Anyone responsible for any model of the Twin Pioneer series aircraft.

Timing: The word "forthwith" means compliance is required immediately — there is no allowed grace period or phased implementation.
