Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This airworthiness directive (AD/SA-TP/27) mandates that British Aerospace (Scottish Aviation) Twin Pioneer aeroplanes fitted with Sperry ALIA or AL3 autopilots be modified in accordance with Scottish Aviation Mod. No. C989 forthwith. It obliges owners/operators and maintenance organisations to carry out the work immediately, creating near-term costs, downtime and concentrated demand for parts and technicians while enforcing a mandatory safety retrofit.
