Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

The Civil Aviation Safety Authority has issued an Airworthiness Directive requiring installation of an "ice guard" on the CSU swivel assembly of all British Aerospace (Scottish Aviation) Twin Pioneer Series 1 and 3 aeroplanes, by performing Scottish Aviation Mod. No. C680. Compliance is mandatory and immediate ("Forthwith"), so owners/operators must arrange the modification and bear associated costs and downtime; the AD sets the legal requirement but delegates technical details to the referenced mod.
