| Requirement: | 1. Incorporate the modifications detailed in Eurocopter Service Bulletin (SB) LAMA No. 65.06 Issue 2.2. Carry out an inspection of the freewheel lubrication system in accordance with Eurocopter SB No. 05.14, original issue or later approved revisions.Note: DGAC AD 79-53-18(B) dated 28 February 1979 refers. |
| Compliance: | 1. Within 30 days after the effective date of this AD unless previously accomplished.2. After the first flight following installation of a MGB after the effective date of this AD and thereafter at intervals not to exceed 100 flight hours. |
| This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 7 June 2007. | |
| Background: | Several cases of loss of freewheel units have been caused by faulty lubrication on units fitted with a self lubricating system. This system is to be removed and more general lubrication system installed. In addition a periodic inspection program to check the lubrication system has been mandated. |
