Plain English Summary

What this does

This document cancels a previous aviation safety rule. It revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/SA 315/1, which required specific actions regarding oxygen cylinders on Eurocopter SA 315 (Lama) series helicopters. The cancellation takes effect on 26 September 2006.

Who it affects

Owners and operators of Eurocopter SA 315 (Lama) series helicopters
Aircraft maintenance organisations and engineers

Why it matters

An Airworthiness Directive (AD) is a mandatory safety instruction issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). This cancellation removes the old oxygen cylinder requirements because they have been superseded by a newer directive (AD/OXY/20). Operators must now follow the replacement directive rather than the cancelled one. This update ensures safety standards remain current and consistent with international aviation regulations (specifically European standards).
