Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

Requires operators of Eurocopter AS 332 C/C1/L/L1 helicopters with blade-horn eye bolts installed before 1 September 1997 (and with those bearings having under 500 flight hours at the AD’s initial date) to inspect the eye-bolt bearings in line with the Eurocopter service bulletin. The measure is triggered by a reported bearing deterioration that produced high-amplitude vibration; it imposes a short compliance window (50 hours from 22 October 1997) and creates an inspection and record-keeping obligation for affected operators.
