Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of Sikorsky S‑76A helicopters fitted with a specific Aero Aire air‑conditioning system (P/N S‑76A‑1‑2) modified under FAA STC SH4680SW, but without Aero Aire SB 970002, to inspect the soft‑start control every 25 flight hours and to fit a soft‑start retrofit kit (P/N 76SB001) within 120 days; fitting the kit stops the repetitive inspections. The CASA delegate sets the compliance deadlines and operators pay for inspections, parts, installation and associated downtime (Applicability; Requirement; Compliance).
