Plain English Summary

4/10 complexity

This airworthiness directive applies to Sikorsky S‑76A helicopters with serial numbers before 760308. It requires operators to perform recurring inspections of main landing gear positioning rod ends (per Sikorsky Alert SB 76‑32‑10) and to install a landing‑gear modification (per Sikorsky CSN 76‑134A). Deadlines depend on recorded rod‑end hours and an absolute calendar cutoff; installing the modification ends the inspection requirement. It matters to operators because it creates inspection, modification, and scheduling costs and changes maintenance obligations.
