Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This airworthiness directive requires operators of specified Rolls‑Royce Spey engine models to replace the high‑pressure (HP) stage‑2 turbine disc locating/retaining sleeve at the flight‑cycle lives set out in Rolls‑Royce Service Bulletin Sp 72‑932 Rev 1. It affects aircraft owners, operators and maintenance organisations responsible for those engines. The Civil Aviation Safety Authority mandates compliance; operators pay for parts, labour and downtime and must schedule replacements and tracking of cycle lives to meet the required intervals.
