Plain English Summary

4/10 complexity

This airworthiness directive requires owners/operators of certain Rotax 912 and 914 series piston engines (specified by serial-number ranges or by crankcase serial-number replacement) to inspect engine crankcases for cracks and oil leaks using the manufacturer’s Mandatory Service Bulletins (or to verify by logbook when the crankcase serial number shows it is outside the affected range). Inspections must be repeated every 110 flight hours; the amendment updates which engines are covered and references the latest service‑bulletin revisions.
