This Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of Rotax 912 A/F/S and 914 F engines fitted with engine mount P/N 886567 (serial numbers listed in Rotax service bulletins) to inspect the mount initially and every 100 flight hours per the Rotax SBs; if cracks are found, the mount must be replaced with P/N 886568 before further flight. Replacement ends the recurring inspection requirement. CASA enforces compliance; operators bear the cost and must follow the procedures in the Rotax service bulletins (see Requirement, Compliance, Terminating Action, Note 1).
