Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of Rotax 914 F‑Series engines (serial numbers 4.420.011–4.420.058) to inspect the turbocharger oil pressure line banjo bolt according to Bombardier Rotax Technical Bulletin 914‑04 because a bolt was found with a built‑in orifice instead of a valve seat. Compliance is mandatory by 30 November 2003 (effective 27 November 2003). CASA issued the directive under CASR subregulation 39.1(1). Owners/operators pay for inspections and any remedial work; compliance may include part replacement if the bolt is non‑conforming.
