Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

What this does: This Airworthiness Directive (a mandatory safety order under aviation law) requires the replacement of fuel selector valves on specific aircraft to prevent potential engine failure.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Gulfstream (Rockwell) Model 114 aircraft with serial numbers 14001 through 14134.

What you must do: Replace the fuel selector valves following the technical instructions in Rockwell International Service Bulletin SB-114-4A.

When you must do it: Within 100 hours of flight time (time in service) after 30 June 1978.

Why it matters: Faulty fuel selector valves can cause fuel starvation to the engine, potentially leading to engine failure and loss of aircraft control. This directive ensures a critical safety modification is completed on affected aircraft.
