Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of aircraft fitted with Mills ME 2402 or ME 2402T safety belts to inspect the left‑hand strap for peeling PVC tips and, if found, either replace the strap or trim and seal the webbing end so the adhesive sets smooth. Initial inspection is within one month of 30 June 1971, then monthly or every 350 flight hours (whichever is sooner). It prevents strap failure that could leave occupants unrestrained.
