Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This directive mandates modification of Teleflex Morse inertia reel assemblies (P/N D73766 and D73766/001) per Service Bulletin 25-00-185429 Issue 2 by 30 September 1984. Aircraft owners/operators with the affected reels must arrange and pay for the work (parts, labour, downtime), which maintenance providers will perform.

The change aims to fix spring-related rewind failures; compliance reduces mechanical risk but creates short‑term demand for parts and labour and depends on exact adherence to the manufacturer’s instructions.
