Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This AD mandates that owners/operators of aircraft fitted with specified Rescu 88 and Rescu 88L emergency locator transmitters follow Garrett Service Bulletin SB 25‑16 (18 Aug 1975) to modify/inspect those units. Compliance is required within 100 flight hours after 31 May 1976.

It matters because the action ensures these ELTs will operate reliably in a crash, improving search-and‑rescue effectiveness.
