AD/R22/31 Amdt 11 - Main Rotor Blades - CANCELLED

This document cancels an aviation safety rule about main rotor blades for Robinson R22 helicopters.

What it does:

• Revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) R22/31 Amendment 11, effective 11 May 2006
• Removes maintenance and inspection requirements that previously applied to specific helicopter rotor blades (part number A016-2)

Why it matters: The blades covered by the old rule were required to be removed from service by 1 April 2006 under a different directive (AD/R22/53). Since these parts should no longer be on any helicopters, the original safety rule is redundant. This cancellation cleans up the regulations by formally removing requirements that can no longer be complied with (because the parts are gone).

Who it affects: Helicopter operators and maintenance providers. However, this change has no practical impact if all affected blades were already removed from service as required by the February 2006 directive.
