Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This is an Airworthiness Directive (AD) — a mandatory safety order issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) under the Civil Aviation Regulations 1988. It applies to all Robinson R22 helicopters and concerns the main rotor spindle (a critical component that connects the rotor blades to the helicopter). The directive revokes a previous version (Amendment 4) and requires operators to take specific corrective actions to address an unsafe condition. However, the provided text is incomplete and omits the actual requirements, instructions, and compliance deadlines.
