Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

Owners/operators of certain Robinson R22 helicopters (serials 436–603 and any R22 that received a new shoulder harness 20 Aug 1984–28 Feb 1987) must inspect and repair AM-Safe shoulder harness buckle assemblies per Robinson Service Bulletin No. 55.

Compliance is required by the next Maintenance Release dated after 9 Apr 1987 or within 100 flight hours thereafter. The fix prevents buckle dislodgement in turbulence or crashes, reducing risk of occupants being ejected.
