Applicability:	Pratt and Whitney PW4000 engines as specified by models in FAA AD 2005-25-09.
Requirement:	Action in accordance with the requirements of FAA AD 2005-25-09.Note: FAA AD 2005-25-09 Amdt 39-14402 dated 5 December 2009 refers. This AD supersedes FAA AD 2002-03-08.
Compliance:	As detailed in the requirement document with a revised effective date of22 October 2009.
	This Amendment becomes effective on 22 October 2009.
Background:	FAA study of in-service events involving uncontained failures have indicated the need for mandatory inspections to ensure safety. This AD introduces these additional inspections.The original issue of this AD became effective 11 July 2002.
