Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This document cancels a previous aircraft safety rule about Pratt & Whitney PW4000 engines.

What it does:

Revokes (cancels) Airworthiness Directive AD/PW4000/10, which previously required 'Engine Stability Improvements' for these turbine engines
The cancellation takes effect on 11 January 2010

Who it affects:

Operators and maintenance organisations responsible for aircraft fitted with Pratt & Whitney PW4000 series engines

Why it matters: The safety requirements from the old rule haven't disappeared—they've simply moved to a newer directive (AD/PW4000/12 Amdt 1). This cancellation prevents confusion by ensuring operators follow only the current version of the safety requirements, not outdated duplicate rules.
