Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This instrument requires owners/operators of Pratt & Whitney Canada PW100-series engines to carry out the technical actions in Transport Canada Airworthiness Directive CF-89-14 Rev 1, with compliance timing varying by sub‑model (next access, next shop visit, or a hard date for some engines). The amendment narrows obligations for engines with PW115/PW120 turbine components and permits Transport Canada–accepted alternative service bulletins. Operators bear inspection/repair costs and must verify acceptable alternatives with Transport Canada.
