AD/PROCTOR/10 (Re-Issue) - Front Seat Restraint Installations - Modification - CANCELLED

This document officially cancels an old aircraft safety rule (known as an Airworthiness Directive or AD) that applied specifically to Percival Proctor series aeroplanes.

What it originally did: The original rule was made in 1972 to require owners to install shoulder straps (called "upper torso restraints") in the front seats of these vintage aircraft, but only for planes certified before 1967.

What it does now: As of 17 January 2008, this specific rule is cancelled and no longer applies. The requirement has been moved into a broader, general safety rule (AD/GENERAL/74) that covers this type of modification across multiple aircraft types, rather than singling out Percival Proctor planes.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Percival Proctor aircraft no longer need to refer to this specific directive; they should instead follow the general replacement directive noted above.
