What it does
This Airworthiness Directive (AD/PREMIER/3, dated 13/2007 TX, effective 5 November 2007) requires immediate and recurring inspection and modification work on the hydraulic pump outlet tubes of certain Hawker Beechcraft (Raytheon) Model 390 aeroplanes, and mandates incorporation of specified parts and flight manual material. Mechanically, the AD does four things, stated in its Requirements:
-
Requires visual inspections of the hydraulic pump outlet tube for signs of chafing, excessive vibration, wear, deterioration, or hydraulic fluid leakage. The inspection procedure uses Raytheon Safety Communiqué No. 267 (Requirement 1) and differentiates treatment between the left-hand engine and the right-hand engine: the left-hand engine requires removal and replacement of the clamp with a new clamp as specified in Raytheon Mandatory Service Bulletin No. SB 29-3771 dated January 2006; the right-hand engine requires inspection only and not clamp removal/replacement (Requirement 1.a-b).
-
Requires replacement of the hydraulic pump outlet tube with specific part numbers (P/N 390-580035 for the left-hand engine, and P/N 390-580037 for the right-hand engine), or FAA-approved equivalents, in accordance with the Raytheon Aircraft Premier 1 Model 390 Maintenance Manual (Requirement 2).
-
Requires incorporation into the aircraft flight manual (AFM) of the Raytheon Aircraft Company Part Number 390-590001-0003C3TC6 dated 16 September 2006 (Requirement 3). The Compliance table sets a deadline of within 5 days after the effective date for this AFM incorporation (Compliance 3).
-
Requires incorporation of Kits No. 390-5804-0001 and 390-5805-0001 (Requirement 4). The Compliance table sets the deadline for kit incorporation at within the next 25 hours time-in-service (TIS) after the effective date, or within 45 days after the effective date, whichever occurs first (Compliance 4).
