AD/PR/8 - Hub Driving Centre - Modification - CANCELLED

What this does: This document officially cancels an old aviation safety rule (called an Airworthiness Directive or AD) that previously required aircraft owners to modify the "hub driving centre" on certain Dowty Rotol variable pitch propellers.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of aircraft fitted with these specific propellers, particularly older aircraft that have been in service for many years.

What changed: The maintenance requirement (which originally had to be completed by January 1969 or within 2,500 hours of flight time) is now completely removed. The Civil Aviation Safety Authority cancelled this directive on 19 November 2009 because it was no longer necessary for safety.
