Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This airworthiness directive requires inspection and, if necessary, modification of the horizontal stabiliser leading‑edge support tube on Pitts S‑2A aircraft (S/Ns 2001–2030) following Pitts SB No. 6, to be done within 100 hours TIS after 31 August 1973.

Owners/operators must fund and arrange qualified maintenance to comply; it is a one‑off safety mandate that may incur parts, labour and downtime and will create short‑term demand for maintenance services.
