Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

Requires recurring visual inspections of the fuselage lower longerons at the main-landing-gear attachment on Pitts S‑1 and S‑2 aeroplanes with spring‑leg gear that have exceeded 200 hours TIS, with an initial short-window check and thereafter at each Maintenance Release. Issued after discovery of cracked and a severed longeron between ~200–600 hours, it affects owners/operators (who bear inspection and repair costs) to reduce risk of structural failure.
