Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This rule requires owners/operators of aircraft with fixed-pitch wooden or Hoffmann composite propellers to perform post-installation and recurring safety inspections to catch moisture, cracking, delamination, loose hub bolts, or tip/cover damage. Inspections must include track checks, hub-bolt tightness, nose‑cone removal, and occur every 100 flight hours or 12 months (and after long storage or major humidity changes).

It matters because failing wooden propellers can cause catastrophic in‑flight structural or control loss.
