This mandatory Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of DH114 aircraft fitted with De Havilland propellers PD136/212/1, PD170/212/1, or PD175/212/1 to modify the oil transfer tube locking mechanism per Hawker Siddeley MNS Series 2 BCS No. 88 (Mod No. 29027). The change must be done before installing any affected propeller if installation occurs after 13 June 1968. It prevents the oil tube coming loose and reduces risk of propeller malfunction and loss of thrust or control.
