Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

Owners/operators of Pilatus PC‑6 aircraft with a maximum take‑off weight of 4,850 lbs must complete a rear‑fuselage modification per Pilatus Service Bulletin No. 41 by 1 July 1966. The AD makes the modification mandatory, shifting costs and downtime onto owners/operators who must arrange qualified maintenance and pay for parts and labour. It replaces voluntary maintenance choice with a time‑limited regulatory requirement to ensure continued airworthiness.
