Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Civil Aviation Safety Authority airworthiness directive requires Pilatus PC-6 aircraft (unless modified per Pilatus Service Bulletin No. 72) to have trim cable guide tubes inspected every 50 hours time-in-service, with the inspection cycle counted from 2 November 1967. It affects owners/operators, who must pay for recurring inspections/repairs or install the SB 72 modification to remove the inspection obligation — creating an ongoing safety/compliance cost trade-off.
