Requirement: Remove the propeller spinner and rotate blades to the high pitch position and accomplish the following:

Visually inspect the pitch control bolt's hex adjusting flat for numerical marking to determine if the bolts are Beech P/N 278-336. If the bolts cannot be so identified, replace with serviceable Beech P/N 278-336 bolts before further flight.

If a crack is detected, replace the bolt before further flight with a serviceable Beech P/N 278-336 bolt.

Note 1. Bolt replacement should be accomplished in accordance with Model 278 Propeller Manual P/N 115090-19-1 Revised 1 May 1963.

Note 2. Beechcraft SI No. 0302-248 and FAA AD 69-26-4 also refer.
