Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This AD legally requires owners/operators of Pigmee S007 family parachutes that use the single‑operation reserve system to carry out the PA Safety Systems recall “Pigmee Red Handle (reserve ripcord) Proof Test” (16 Nov 1992). Affected parachutes must not be used after 4 March 1993 until the proof test and any remedial action are completed. It protects safety after inspection showed the red handle failed under load; costs and arrangements fall to operators unless otherwise agreed.
