Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

Requires owners/operators of specified Piper PA‑46 (Malibu) serial‑numbered aeroplanes to inspect the left and right inboard flap drive bellcrank assemblies (Piper P/N 82905‑2 and 82905‑3) per Piper Service Bulletin No. 1062 and to replace any assembly with incomplete or inadequate welding before further flight.

Compliance is required within 10 hours time‑in‑service after 29 June 2001. Owners/operators bear inspection and replacement costs; the AD obliges immediate inspection and potential part replacement to address reported bellcrank failures that could prevent flap control.
