Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

Applies to Piper PA-46-350P Malibu Mirage aircraft, serials 4622001–4622189: owners must, by 30 April 1996, fit an engine‑operating‑limitation placard on the pilot’s panel (per Piper SB No. 982) and amend the Flight Manual (amendment available from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority). The measures—paid for by the certificate holder—impose documented manifold‑pressure limits to reduce propeller fatigue by restricting certain engine operating practices.
