AD/PA-46/14 Amdt 2 - Aileron Cable Routing - CANCELLED

What this does: This document cancels a previous aviation safety rule (Airworthiness Directive) that required owners of Piper PA-46 (Malibu) aircraft to inspect how their aileron control cables were routed.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Piper PA-46 (Malibu) series aircraft registered in Australia.

Why it matters: Previously, operators had to check the routing of aileron cables (the control lines that connect the cockpit yoke to the wing surfaces used for turning) to ensure they weren't rubbing against other parts. This inspection had to be completed within 100 hours of flight time after May 1996. This amendment cancels that requirement entirely — the safety concern has been resolved or superseded, so the mandatory inspection is no longer necessary effective 9 April 2009.
