Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

Owners/operators of certain Piper PA-46-310P aircraft (serials 46-8408001–46-8608067 or 4608001–4608066) must reroute the aileron control cables per Piper Service Bulletin 863A to prevent chafing against a flap track bracket that could lead to cable failure and loss of control. If not already done, the work was required within 100 flight hours after 23 May 1996. Amendment 2 only corrects the serial-number applicability.
