AD/PA-46/10 - Aft Wing Attach Fitting Fastener Collars - CANCELLED

What this does: This document cancels a previous aviation safety rule (Airworthiness Directive) that required owners of Piper PA-46 Malibu aircraft to inspect the fastener collars on the rear wing attachment fittings.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Piper PA-46 (Malibu) series aeroplanes.

Why it matters: As of 9 April 2009, you no longer need to complete the specific inspection outlined in Piper Service Bulletin No. 820 within 10 flight hours. This removes a mandatory maintenance obligation, saving time and compliance costs for aircraft owners. The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) has determined this safety inspection is no longer required.
