AD/PA-44/10 Amdt 1 - Engine Mount Frame Cracking - CANCELLED

What this does: This document cancels a previous safety rule (called an Airworthiness Directive) that applied to Piper PA-44 Seminole aircraft.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of these specific twin-engine training aeroplanes.

What changed: Previously, operators had to inspect the engine mount frames every 100 hours of flight time until specific welding reinforcements were carried out. As of 18 December 2008, that requirement is completely removed.

Why it matters: Operators no longer need to perform these specific inspections or track compliance hours for this rule. The Civil Aviation Safety Authority determined that mandating this inspection through a formal directive was no longer necessary.
