Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this is: A safety rule (called an Airworthiness Directive) that requires specific Piper PA-44 Seminole aircraft to have their hose assemblies inspected and replaced.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Piper PA-44-180 aircraft with specific serial numbers between 44-7995001 and 44-7995127 (with some gaps in the sequence). If your plane's serial number isn't on this list, this rule doesn't apply to you.

What you must do: Before the aircraft can be certified (approved as airworthy to fly), you must inspect and replace the hose assemblies following the instructions in Piper Service Bulletin No. 611.

Why it matters: This prevents potential failures of hose assemblies that could lead to loss of control or other safety hazards during flight.
