Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This directive requires owners/operators of certain Piper PA-42 Cheyenne III aircraft to modify the engine inlet fuel filter per Piper Service Bulletin No. 785. It fixes a manufacturing defect in the filter’s by‑pass flapper valve shaft that can loosen and block fuel flow, risking engine failure. The modification deadline was within 25 flight hours after August 31, 1984.
