AD/PA-42/6 - Aileron Trim Tab Control Tube and Rudder Trim Cable Retainer Hardware - Inspection and Replacement - CANCELLED

This document cancels a previous aircraft safety rule.

This Airworthiness Directive (AD) previously forced owners of Piper PA-42 (Cheyenne III) aircraft to inspect and replace specific trim system parts—specifically the aileron trim tab control tube and rudder trim cable retainer hardware—within 10 hours of flying time after May 1984.

What has changed:

• As of 9 April 2009, this maintenance requirement no longer applies.
• Operators no longer need to inspect or replace these parts under this rule.
• The Civil Aviation Safety Authority cancelled the directive because it is no longer considered necessary for safety.

This removes a mandatory maintenance obligation for owners of these aircraft models.
