Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This AD mandates that owners/operators of the specified Piper PA‑42 (Cheyenne III/IIIA) serial‑numbered aeroplanes comply with Piper Service Bulletin No. 822 to inspect/rectify suspect hydraulic hoses within 25 hours TIS after 19 May 1986. It affects the listed aircraft, the maintenance organisations that must perform the work, and the regulator; it’s a short, mandatory action to remove non‑conforming hoses that may not meet hydraulic pressure requirements and thus mitigate safety risk.
