AD/PA-36/19 Amdt 1 - Elevator and Aileron System Control Rod End Bearings - Inspection and Replacement

CASA mandates recurring inspections of elevator and aileron control rod end bearings on specified Piper PA‑36 serial-number ranges at intervals not exceeding 100 hours TIS, continuing until the bearings are replaced per Piper Service Bulletin No. 608A. It affects owners/operators of the listed PA‑36 aircraft, who bear inspection and replacement costs and must obtain and follow SB No. 608A for the technical procedures; replacing the bearings removes the AD’s recurring inspection requirement.
