Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

Requires recurring inspections of the aft wing lower skins and attachment areas on most Piper PA‑34‑200 aeroplanes. A basic visual check for skin wrinkling can be performed and certified by the pilot; a more detailed light‑and‑mirror inspection of the trunnion and aft rib attachment areas is required at longer intervals. Applies to all PA‑34‑200s except those fitted with Piper Kit P/N 760696V or whose main landing gear struts have been reserviced per Piper SB No. 406; inspections are triggered by time‑in‑service and by unusually fast/heavy landings.
